KIA KAHA TE REO MĀORI

Ānei te kōrero e pā ana ki te korowai o Mauri, nō reira…

Kia kaha Te Reo Māori.

Our beautiful korowai displays the symbol for being steadfast with the Māori language.

I hono ai mātou ngā kara ki ngā kare-a-roto. The colours incorporated are linked to our emotions.

Ko te karaka, ko te hoha – the orange represents hoha.

Ko te māwhero, ko te mauri tau – the pink represents calm.

Ko te whero, ko te riri – the red represents angry.

Ko te kōwhai, ko te harikoa – the yellow represent happy.

Ko te kākāriki, ko te mōrikarika – the green represents disgust.

Ko te kikorangi, ko te pouri, the blue represents sad.

Nā ngā mahi a ngā tamariki e whakaatu ana i ngā`momo kare-a-roto. Our tamariki have displayed these emotions through their artwork.

Kia Kaha te Reo Māori.
