Poro Kapiti

E hanga ana mātou ki ngā taonga.

Today, Mauri spent some time building their own creations with lego.

  • We first had a kōrero about our ideas and then built our creations.
  • Whai muri i tēnā, we sat in a circle and shared our creations with each other.
  • Ka mutu, we wrote about our creation, e.g ‘He whare tēnei’. ‘He whero te tae o te whare’.

He mahi pārekareka!! Tau kē tamariki mā!!

Nō wai ēnei karu?

As part of our mahi about learning how to ‘crop photos’, our tamariki took selfies and cropped the photo so that you could only see their eyes.

Ānei ngā whakaahua o ngā karu o ngā tamariki i roto i te Mauri 16/Rehutai.

Nō wai ēnei karu? Who belongs to these eyes?

Whai muri i tēnei mahi…

  • Kapohia tetahi whakaahua i a koe,
  • Katahi ka poroa te whakaahua kia kite noa i ōu karu.

Today, Mauri learnt how to crop a photo.

  • First, the tamariki took a photo of a unicorn.
  • Next, they had to go to ‘edit’ followed by ‘crop’ and then pinch the sides of the photo to adjust the size until they could only see the unicorn’s head.
  • Once our tamariki got the hang of it, they took a ‘selfie’ and cropped it until they had a photo just showing their eyes.

Our tamariki love our ICF lessons with Whaea Hinewa and Whaea Elfrida. Ngā mihi nui ki a kōrua x

During this visit, our tamariki listened to different waiata, drew pikitia and shared kōrero about different kare ā-roto they have experienced.
